Growing up and coming of age in the sixties and seventies, I found a connection between happiness and nature. This connection was "lived out" by the manner my husband and children lived out our lives. This connection gave me a desire to share by writing a book.

Today's "green movement" gave me a purpose, which was to help connect the young, middle aged, and the mature. As a "mature" individual myself, sharing my past experiences can help with the dialog and understanding of my life perspective with others.

About Me
Book Review:
"Widman offers sound advice. She writes of keeping the brain vibrant by engaging in activities that offer intellectual challenge, learning to manage time which may suddenly be too abundant, and the importance of finding a purpose that will make a difference in the world. This advice is based not only on her personal experiences, but also on an impressive amount of research. She frequently refers to academic resources and includes a complete bibliography. In final analysis, the book has genuine merit. She shares well-researched information that may help some readers as they face retirement."
